Tinker, design, and explore in the new Makerspace available in the Youth Services department! The Makerspace includes technology and equipment for guided independent projects and library-led programs. Teens up to age 18 (if still in high school) can use the Makerspace with permission from their parent/guardian. A parent or guardian must first complete and sign a Makerspace agreement. SlamCamp is one insane week of writing, performance, art, friends, and fun for students who will be entering 6th through 9th grade. SlamCamp takes place every year in June.
The library now offers Launchpads, tablets pre-loaded with apps just for teens. Launchpads include interactive learning apps, comics, and casual games.
Celebrate the joy of reading and earn a fun reward along the way. You can sign up at the library’s Youth Services Desk. Everyone is welcome to participate–children, teens, and adults. The Summer Reading Program begins in June and ends in August.
