About the Friends
The Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization that raises money to contribute to library needs and promotes community awareness of the library. They advocate for robust funding of the library, and support the freedom of individuals to read what they wish.
The Friends sponsor the library’s annual Writing Out Loud series and Movies in the Park series. They pay for the library’s annual film license and support a variety of programs for children and adults.
Friends work with the library staff to help provide electronic resources, books, and media for library patrons. They directly contribute to the children, youth, and adults attending its programs by acting as ambassadors and advocates with elected officials.
