1,000 books before kindergarten

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten is a free reading program offered by the library. Children from birth through age 5 (or until they enter kindergarten) are invited to join the program.

MCPL STEAM Ahead Kids

STEAM Ahead Kids

The library offers a variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) programs for kids and teens. These fun and educational activities are aligned with Indiana Academic Science Standards and are designed to engage children’s creative and critical thinking skills.

Join us for stories, songs, activities, and crafts at this early childhood introduction to quality children’s literature. For children between birth and 5 years old with an adult.

All Together Now Summer Reading Program logo

Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program is for all ages and 100% free to participate! For every 10 hours you read, read to someone else, or listen to someone read, you’ll receive a chance in the raffle. Record your time and select a raffle prize you would like to have a chance to win. You also receive a book of your choice! You can sign up at the library’s Youth Services Desk. Everyone is welcome to participate–children, teens, and adults.
