The public sculpture Celebrating Naomi Anderson will be unveiled during a ceremony at Westcott Park on Saturday, March 19, at 2:00 PM. The sculpture was created by Bernard Williams. A reception at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts will follow the unveiling.

Celebrating Naomi Anderson is a project of the Michigan City Mainstreet Association. Project partners include NAACP of La Porte County Unit 3061, Lubeznik Center for the Arts, and United Foundation of La Porte County.

The project received support from a Preserving Women’s Legacy Grant, a program of the Indiana Women’s Suffrage Centennial presented by Indiana Humanities and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs through funding from the state of Indiana.
