      Summer Reading Program

On Your Mark, Get Set...Read!
June 13 - July 23, 2016


Let's celebrate the joy of reading and earn a fun reward along the way!

Read anything you like: books, e-books, magazines, newspapers, and more. Listen to audiobooks. Listen while someone reads to you. Earn prizes for the number of hours that you read.

Children: 15 hours = a prize

Adults: 30 hours = a prize

Fill out a reading log at the library's Youth Services desk to record your hours. The last day to record your hours is July 23, 2016.

Summer Story Time
Wednesdays, June 22 - July 20, 10:00 amStory Time

Children and their grown-ups will enjoy stories, songs, and crafts during this time designed for parent/guardian and child interaction. Please arrive a few minutes early to receive a name tag. For ages birth-5 years, with an adult.

Pop Up Story Time
Fridays, July 8, 15, 22 & 29, 10:00am

Enjoy a new twist on our popular Story Time. Children ages 6-12 are invited to choose their favorite picture books and read them to other children!

STEAM Ahead Kids: Robo Wheelsrobowheel
Thursday, July 21, 10:00am

Use paper plates and string to put together and decorate wheels that can race and jump ramps in this interactive science program for the family!

Summer Reading Program Finale: Madcap Puppetsman with puppet
Thursday, July 28, 10:00 am

Celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program with this larger than life traveling puppet show! Giant puppets bring the tale alive through songs, stories and poems.
