The 2015 Summer Reading Program kicks off June 15! Join us for the fun and be sure to sign up starting that day. Entertainer Leonardo will perform on June 18 at 10:00 am during kick-off week. Mark your calendar today!
Every Duck Has a Tale
Help us promote the Summer Reading Program by taking a super hero rubber duckie on an adventure! Pick up your rubber duckie at the Youth Services desk. Take a picture of your duckie on his heroic adventure and post it to your social media account, #heroduckie. Tag the library (@MichiganCityPublicLibrary on Facebook, @MCPublicLibrar1 on Twitter) to share your duckie with our friends.

Summer Reading Program Rules
Let's celebrate the joy of reading! Read anything you like: books, magazines, newspapers, and more. Listen to audiobooks. Listen while someone reads to you. Earn prizes for the number of hours that you read.
Children: 15 hours = a prize
Adults: 30 hours = a prize
Fill out a reading log at the library's Youth Services desk to record your hours. The last day to record hours is July 25, 2015.

Art à la Carte
Join us and make a fun summer craft. All materials provided. Child must be present to receive craft supplies. This program is designed for children ages 4-12.
Summer Reading Program Kick-off Concert with Leonardo!
It's time to go Rockin' and Reading with Leonardo when he strums into town bringing his humorous, high energy musical program! Summer Reading will rock with this inspiring music show where audiences unearth their hidden talents. Get ready to sing, dance and "jam" with Leonardo. Leonardo is a Parents' Choice award winner. Summer Story Time begins Wednesday, June 24. Children and their grown-ups will enjoy stories, songs, and crafts during this time designed for parent/guardian and child interaction. Please arrive a few minutes early to receive a name tag. For ages birth-5 years, with an adult.
Super Movie: The Incredibles
A family of undercover superheroes, while trying to live the quiet suburban life, are forced into action to save the world. All children 18 years and under will have a chance to enter a raffle to win the movie DVD. Must be present to win. Rated PG.
