On Your Mark, Get Set...Read!
Let's celebrate the joy of reading and earn a fun reward along the way!
Read anything you like: books, magazines, newspapers, and more. Listen to audiobooks. Listen while someone reads to you. Earn prizes for the number of hours that you read.
Children: 15 hours = a prize
Adults: 30 hours = a prize
Fill out a reading log at the library's Youth Services desk to record your hours. The last day to record your hours is July 23, 2016.
Summer Reading Program Kick-off: Entertainer Jim Gill
Let's kick off the Summer Reading Program as we sing, dance, and play together! Jim Gill, the award-winning children's singer/entertainer, will delight both young and old. Jim Gill is a musician, author, and child development specialist. He has released six CD of music play for children, and has performed across the world. Don't miss this free celebration!
Summer Story Time
Children and their grown-ups will enjoy stories, songs, and crafts during this time designed for parent/guardian and child interaction. Please arrive a few minutes early to receive a name tag. For ages birth-5 years, with an adult.

Film Showing: Disney's Hercules
Hercules (Tate Donovan), a son of gods, was snatched as a baby by Hades (James Woods) and forced to live among mortals as a half-man, half-god. Now a teenager, Hercules needs to perform a rite of passage on Earth to prove himself worthy of living with the gods on Mount Olympus. With his plucky satyr sidekick, Philoctetes (Danny DeVito), along for the ride, Hercules must learn how to use his strength to defeat a series of evil creatures. Children under 18 will be eligible to win a DVD of the movie. Light refreshments will be served. Rated G.

Celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program with this larger than life traveling puppet show! Giant puppets bring the tale alive through songs, stories and poems.
